United Arab Emirates Timeline

The first grass golf course(s) ever built in the Middle East were the designs of American architect, Karl Litten and were built by Total Golf Construction in 1988.  The facilities two courses, The Emirates Golf Club and The Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club were instant classics in the world of golf, ranked #1 in the Middle East and brought golf to a key economic region in the world.

Over 30 years later . . . The Emirates Golf Club facility is still ranked as the #1 course in the Middle East and hosts numerous PGA and LPGA events including the Dubai Desert Classic and the Dubai Ladies Classic.  In addition, as these images will attest, the courses have anchored tremendous commercial and residential growth in and around this vibrant community over the years.
